For sale a vintage original 1919 Wall Calendar put out by "The Sphere" magazine London. Approx. 13 by 11 inches with small complete pad attached to bottom. Great color print of Field Marshal Douglas Haig of the British army. Haig was a senior officer of the British army. During the First World War, he commanded the British Expeditionary Force BEF on the Western Front late 1915 until the end of the war. He was commander during the Battle of the Somme, the Battle of Arras, the Battle of Ypres, the German Spring Offensive adn the Hundred Days Offensive. He was a very decorated military figure in Britain and was the recipient of many awards. Picture drawn by Christopher Clark, R.I.
