This impressive, quality bookcase, appears to be handmade.
We were told by the previous owner it originated in Holland & belonged to the lady's grandfather (she is 65).
The fascinating thing about this piece is that it disassembles completely! There are only 8 long bolt/screws (shown in the one piece). 4 go in the front (ornate strips between the doors-top & bottom) & 4 at either end (top & bottom).
One is missing, but it is still solid.
Very well made with dowels/grooves etc.
There are 3 back panels that slot together, side panels, & top & bottom pieces.
The shelving itself is very heavy & 7/8" thick.
Numerous places they can go!
There are some extra spacers / shelf holders also.
Sadly there is no key to lock the metal bar like locks on the inside of each door.
Most skeleton keys work to just use as a door pull.
Not sure of the type of wood but not flimsy!
Width is across the center.
Height & depth measured at the top plinth.
79ʺW × 18ʺD × 68.25ʺH
The top piece has a splintered center strip. Obviously not seen when together! There are a couple of small 'nics' here & there, but overall a great piece of furniture!
