    Description

    US Krag Bayonet 1901 - Original with scabbard.  This Krag Bayonet is one of several I purchased 15 years ago.  I cleaned the blade, guard and metal handle and applied a coat of Boiled Linseed Oil to the wood grips.  Then I placed it in cloth and placed it in the closet.  Blade is date stamped "1901" on one side and "US" on the other side.  Blade has very light surface scratches and some very light surface rust on the 1901 side.  There are 3 very small corrosion marks on the 1901 side.  The Blade edge may have been sharpened, but the edge is dull.  Wood grips have 2 noticeable scratches on the 1901 side, but no chips.  Scabbard has some very light surface rust and hook swivel turns freely.  Overall, Bayonet is in excellent condition.
