    Description

    This is a very rare Philippine Constabulary canteen. It was made by Rock Island Arsenal and is dated 1914. It features the early PEA GREEN color seen on early US field gear. However, where US field gear is marked "US" this is marked "PC" . From a historical stand point the Philippine Constabulary were supported and supplied by the United States and explains the production of this piece in the United States. For at least the last 50 years, this piece was stored in an attic until I found it. The image below shows similar type markings. Impossible to upgrade.
