    Description

    For sale here is a heavily used Spanish American War Remington Number 5 Short Mexican Export Bayonet.  Unfortunately, the bayonet does not have a scabbard.  The bayonet features an 8" blade and a 12 1/2" overall length.  The bayonet is maker marked Remington Arms Co. Ilion, NY USA in the right blood groove.  The bayonet shows heavy use, age, wear, and patina.  There is also some surface rust and wood bruises and gouges.  The bayonet is dull with a rounded tip.  The button works as it should.  The bayonet is serial numbered 123 or 133 on the right side crossguard.  There is some carving in the right side grip that is illegible.  The button works as it should.  This is a hard to find bayonet in any condition.  Please see all pictures for full condition report.
