The Past Supreme Gu Gu Grandississimo (P.S.G.G.G.) badge is the regulation Military Order of the Serpent Bayani degree (National Level) badge having
a raised-gold central device and a golden python
slithering over the three corners of its triangular pendant
. It is suspended from the same green, jet, and
crimson ribbon as the Bayani membership badge.
The green part of the ribbon rarely survives today showing any signs that it was originally green.  On sight, people assume that the stripes are either gray, or white.  This is incorrect; the edge stripes are green.
The reverse
is plain except for seven stud holes used to secure the
obverse’s centerpiece and golden serpent segments.  These badges were rarely engraved with the recipient's name.
All
official P.S.G.G.G. pendants are constructed from five
components: the main pendant in bronze with a gold
central M.O.S. emblem, and three separate gold snake
coils.
This badge also comes with a gold, National Zamboango Slave (aide) officer bar.   This is denoted by the crossed bolo (sword) and whip.
I am the author of an article that was published in the Journal of the Orders and Medals Society of America entitled "
Military Order of the Serpent Officers’ Insignia
Past Presidents’ Badges".  I have been studying M.O.S. insignia for more than 20 years.  I can provide a copy of the article if the high bidder is interested.
There was only one National President for each year the organization was functioning.  There were 71 National Presidents from 1904 to 1973.  It is more than likely that they stopped ordering badges from the Badge making companies some time in the mid- to late- 1960s.  The M.O.S. did issue the title of
Past Supreme Gu Gu
to a very few individuals who provided great service to the organization. This suggests that there were less than approximately 100 of these Past National President badges ever made for the Military Order of the Serpent.
In 20+ years of collecting M.O.S. insignia, I have seen exactly nine of these P.S.G.G.G. badges.  How many others have survived the test of time?  This might be your only chance to ever own one of the rarest M.O.S. badges there ever was.
