Volunteer Infantry.
Just so that nobody had any doubts as to who’s belt it was, Pvt. Mitchell wrote his name on the inside of the belt in three places.
The 7th was assigned to the 2nd Brigade, 2nd Division, 2nd Corps.
The belt is in very good condition without any tears or loose stitching. This belt is a very nice example of an issued and identified piece of field gear.
