    Description

Edward Marshall Boehm (d. 1969, USA) porcelain Dalmatian dog figurine, Boehm model #126. Retired from production in 1959, only 400 examples of this figurine were produced. Signed "Boehm", and measuring 3" tall by 2" long, the figurine is in mint condition (verified by blacklight exam and examination under lighted magnification). Edward Marshall Boehm is one of the earliest American porcelain sculptors and manufacturers, and perhaps its finest. While in production, his dog figurines were sold in the finest stores, and today they are still sought after by serious collectors. This Dalmatian figurine, named "Mike", was originally designed to be part of a never produced Anheuser Busch wagon. Mike is the Busch mascot always seen riding on the wagon when the Clydesdale horse team is performing in public. Please see my other auctions for more antique and vintage dog collectibles. We will be happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases.
