Dragonfly Van Cort Instruments kaleidoscope lens eyepiece 1987

Description

A novel amusement, and unusually diverting, in that it permits what one supposes a bug's eye view of a thing or scene. A faceted lens bezeled by a brass ring displays an object or scene in multiple views. The effect is kaleidoscopic.
The brass ring encircling the lens is stampled "Van Cort Instruments, Inc., 1987, Dragonfly, Patent Pending." The holder itself shows attractive grain or patterning.
The Dragonfly is clean, and its brass ring bright. It has been kept in a smoke-free household.
