Antique Vintage Milk Glass Battleship Maine Spanish American War Premium 1898

Description

This is a guaranteed old milk glass ship. The best evidence of age is the so called oyster rings on the bottom of the base which are characteristic of milk glass of the period. This ship was in honor of the destruction of the Maine which lead to the Spanish American War.
Most of these milk glass ships were a premium filled with a product such as mustard.
They were made in 1898 and 1899 because after that all the hoopla over the Spanish American War was over. It is in decent condition with no major issues but does have the small roughness around the edges which is typical of giveaway milk glass of the time and there are couple small chips on the very bottom out of view. It is 7 ¾ inches long.
