    This is a 1918 UNITED SPANISH WAR VETERANS Membership Card given to a man who was born in Madelia, MN and lived most of his life in Mankato, MN...which is where he lived in 1918. They called it a Visiting Card. William R (Russell) Crandall served in what we now call the Spanish-American War in 1898. The card measures 3 7/8 "X 3 1/8". The holder measures 4 1/4" X 1 5/8" when folded. Both the card and holder are in excellent condition. I have lowered the price from its initial listing and have also reduced the shipping to .00 after finding out it will not cost .20 to send it to the buyer.
